As Senior Policy Associate, Felicia advances transformative policy and trains Essie’s members in legislative advocacy skills in order to shrink the carceral state, bring our loved ones home, and build the world we want to see.
Felicia brings over eight years of policy and campaign experience to Essie, having dedicated her career to the liberation of Brown and Black people from all forms of government-sanctioned criminalization, caging and surveillance. Most recently, Felicia was a Policy Analyst at the California Immigrant Policy Center where she advanced policy at the intersection of the immigration and criminal-legal systems. Felicia holds a B.A. in International Relations and Spanish from the University of San Diego and an M.A. in International Education Development from Columbia University.
